Martina Hingis has won five Grand Slam singles titles, three Australian Open, one Wimbledon, and one US Open.

Martina Hingis has also won nine Grand Slam women's doubles crowns. In 1998 she captured all four Grand Slam women's doubles titles.

Martina Hingis holds a series of "youngest-ever" records before ligament injuries in both of her ankles forced her to withdraw from pro tennis in 2002, at the relatively young age of 22.

At 25, Martina Hingis announced her return to the WTA tour on November 29, 2005 and made her professional comeback on January 2, 2006

She become the first Indian woman to break into the top 100 in WTA tournament.

After her first round exit from the French Open - Sania made it upto third round Center Court clash at Wimbledon 2005.

As the best part of her life Sania set a unsuccessful US Open Quarter finals clash with Russian Tennis beauty and then World number 1, Maria Sharapova.

Still long way to go, no doubt, Sania Mirza is the symbol of Asian Tennis.
